RATES: $90.00/night. Off season $75.00/night. Stay 7 consecutive nights and get the 7th night free.
PAYMENT: Cash only. NO TAX. Since we are a small Bed and Breakfast, we are not set up for debit and credit.

LOCATION: Our location is convenient to the airport, as well as to downtown
Halifax and the coastal drives. It is well-situated for sight-seeing by car.
AIRPORT: The nearest major airport: Halifax Stanfield International Airport,
NS, Canada, 20 miles.
Driving directions from airport: Take the 102 (Veterans Memorial Hwy)
south to Route 118. Then take Route 111 to Route 207 to Portland Street. You
will pass a Sobeys store and Sears on the right. Continue on down the hill. We
are on the left hand side of Portland Street, #282.
NOTE!!! Metro Transit now rolls riders to and from the Airport! Buses run every 30 minutes during week day hours and every hour during non peak hours and weekends. It's a 40 minute ride by bus to and from the airport and it's called route #320. Adult fare is $3.25 and with a transfer another $.50. Metro buses stop in front of Karen's Bed and Breakfast!
ACCOMODATION:
Comfortable Queen size bed, dresser with mirror, table & chairs, Flat Screen TV and
cable, DVD player, free DVD Library, free high speed internet (WiFi), large closet,
mini fridge, coffee maker, private 4 piece bathroom with Sun Tunnel. Non smoking.
Scent-free accomodation. Suitable for one person or a couple. Not suitable for children.
No pets please.
BREAKFAST:
Our continental breakfast is served daily from 7:30am- 9am. Cereals, homemade muffins, toast, croissants & bagels, with homemade jams, fuit, fruit cocktail, fruit
juices, tea and coffee. Let us know when you make your reservation, if you have any dietary restriction and we will try our utmost to accomodate you. You may breakfast inside or on the private deck off the sunroom if you wish, where you can watch the chickadees in action. We had nesting chickadees in our little birdhouse last year and baby birds flopping on the deck! Very cute!
SPECIAL FEATURES: We are within walking distance of the Dartmouth Harbourfront
boardwalk, a wonderful walking trail where you can stroll and perhaps watch the
beautiful sunsets, or connect to the ferry and then walk the extensive
boardwalk in Halifax. Once there, you are within easy walking distance to
shopping, eateries and the Casino in Halifax! Remember to ask for a transfer to take the ferry and plan to bus further on the other side.
